Women's Lacrosse Sticks Overview

Women's sticks differ from men's in several ways, including size, shape and material.  Women's sticks are often somewhat smaller and lighter than men's sticks, and can be made out of aluminum or wood.  Wood shafts are heavier than aluminum models and are more prone to damage or breakage.  Some women prefer the larger and heavier men's sticks.

Pockets on women's sticks are shallower than men's, who use deeper pockets for the increased physicality of the game.  The general rule is that the ball cannot sit more than halfway in the pocket.

Almost all major brands produce both women's and men's sticks.
